THE MAX AND MARIAN FARASH CHARITABLE FOUNDATION
is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the civic and religious communities of its founders. The Farashes believed in the importance of education in all of its aspects and knew the power of entrepreneurial creativity. The Foundation’s purpose-driven approach has had a profound effect on the Jewish community, as well as on the overall communities of Monroe and Ontario counties, all of whom have benefited from the Foundation’s charitable works. Each year, half of the Foundation’s grants support Jewish life and the other half go to secular initiatives. Grants recipients must be 501(c)(3) organizations, and funding proposals are solicited by invitation only.
